"I've been fascinated with finding scenes of a geometric nature with people within them. I like finding mundane everyday characters and placing them within these scenes to explore how everyday life can be beautiful and fleeting at the same time. Smaller like man is the exploration of this idea. Influenced: by painter Jeffery Smart. I love Jeffery's view of the mundane, and the nature of the shapes in his painting."

Summer Blues by Ed Fetahovic

I find Edward Hopper's evocative paints of people in everyday places as a still life representation hugely fascinating. To create a still life with a person in it as a photograph is quite challenging and I found inspiration to snap this shot on the street one day after spending several hours over a few weeks looking at and reading about Edward Hopper and his art work. This image represents the modern day urban landscape and behaviours.
