"Yasmin Shima is an artist originating from Bondi Beach, Sydney Australia. She grew up in a family of artists, with her first self-portrait painted at age 18. She had a 20 year break before re finding her art, and has not stopped painting since.
In December 2019 she quit her job as a producer to commit to art. She persevered through the pandemic and began teaching. In 2021, she developed a whole new style of art. It paid off and she is now in demand for commercial murals and commissions.
In 2021 she learned about NFTs and made a collection of 1 of 1s called Ride or Die. After learning more about NFTs she founded Year of the Woman with a team of four others.
Yasmin is inspired by beauty, colour and form, always seeking to evolve her style and express how she feels at the time. She likes to merge physical with digital art, bridging the gap between the two. Her work is playful sometimes provocative.
Yasmin continues to create physical art, NFTs and custom art alongside her partner, currently based in Mexico."
